Being on the banks of the Swan River lends itself ideally to the new Fishing Zone which is an exciting new activation at the 2024 Show.

Sponsored by Halco, the Fishing Zone will feature the new look Fishing Stage with the Engel TBarra Tank, several fishing tackle exhibitors, and plenty of information on fishing and boating with government agency displays. There will also be displays and activity on the water.

The new look Engel TBarra Tank (formerly the Engel Aquatank) will feature regular fishing demonstrations all day with a cast of presenters. Hosted by Mark LeCras from Channel 7’s The 4WD Adventure Show, visitors can get tips and tricks on how to use different lures and gear, info on places to go and what to catch, and can hear some stories of the one that got away!

Special guest this year on the Fishing Stage will be Sam Birch “Birchy” who is better known as The Barra King! Birchy spends his days taking people in tours of his land in Kununurra and helps them to land the metre long barramundi. Birchy has plenty of stories to share – from the time he escaped a croc attack to the time he caught a world record length barra, plus he will have all the information you need to plan your next Kimberley adventure.

Other speakers on stage will include Curtis Waterman (Halco Tackle) Guy Woods, and Scotty Coghlan (Western Angler magazine).
