Celebrating Land Rover – old and new – with Land Rover World

Land Rover vehicles have a long history, and like many products we used today, was invested out of necessity.

Following World War II, car manufacturer Rover desperately needed to get car production going again. Steel was in terribly short supply and exports got first preference for all raw materials. Rover employee Maurice Wilks had been using ex-army Jeeps on his farm and realising that there was no real alternative to them, decided that Rover would provide one. By the summer of 1947 Rover had built a prototype Land Rover vehicle, which was officially launched on the market in 1948.

Since the initial launch of Land Rover Series1, there have been modifications and upgrades and Land Rover today is recognised as one of the world’s best 4WD brands.

It makes sense then that in the year the 4WD and Adventure Show celebrates 25 years, we welcome the new attraction “Land Rover World” to the Show.

Come along and check out the latest Land Rover vehicles, including the 2017 released Discovery, as well as take a ride on the Land Rover Terrapod.

The Twin Terrapod gives you the opportunity to experience the Land Rover’s off-road abilities – articulation, Traction Control, Terrain. The unique Twin Terrapod takes the vehicle up, over and around, all in the comfort of the latest model Land Rover vehicles. It’s an exciting way to experience the full Land Rover capability.
